First off no, our baby isn’t a “Quarantine baby”. My husband and I had discussed having another child for a while and were blessed to find out we were pregnant back in late January. Well before the day the earth stood still on March 13th, 2020.
I will admit, the first couple months of lockdown was a hard time to find inspiration with pregnancy style during quarantine. However, when the warmer weather arrived, I decided to change my perspective on quarantine and go back to enjoying what I love doing, styling. Even if it was just for myself.

During my first pregnancy with my daughter Pippa, I refused to buy maternity wear. I just couldn’t justify paying $90 for a maternity top or dress that wasn’t that cute, didn’t fit that great and I wouldn’t be wearing again after baby was born.

How I curated my own pregnancy style.
What I did instead and have done during this pregnancy is buy clothes from my favorite retailers and just get 2 sizes up. I make sure the pieces I get are a loose fit and have a wrap element to them with an adjustable belt, so I can adjust the fit as the belly grows. This way, I’m getting the look and fit I want at a great price point and can potentially wear the clothes again by taking them to a tailor the following year.

Being stuck inside for months has not been fun, especially pregnant. Having fun with my at home pregnancy style has helped me channel my feelings into a more positive and creative direction.
I’m looking forward to sharing more “pregnancy style during quarantine” looks with you soon!
